Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process through which interested adults are gradually introduced to the Roman Catholic faith.  It includes several stages marked by study, prayer and rites at Mass.  Participants in the RCIA are known as catechumens.  They undergo a process of conversion as they study the Gospel, profess their faith in Jesus and the Catholic Church and receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist.  With continual help and support from sponsors and the whole community, the new members are encouraged to take a full part in the life of the Church.

In our parish, please contact the Parish Priest if you are interested in learning more about the Catholic faith.
